In Uzbekistan, significant partnerships are being established to develop the education and professional qualifications system and to align it with international standards. In this regard, the recent meeting between the European Training Foundation (ETF) and the National Institute for the Development of the Qualifications System marked an important milestone in strengthening cooperation.
The dialogue was attended by E. Jansova, representative of the European Training Foundation, A. Allabergenov, Director of the Institute, as well as responsible staff members. During the meeting, participants held an in-depth discussion on prospects for cooperation, ongoing reforms, and the implementation of international best practices.
The discussions primarily focused on the work carried out, achievements attained, and future plans within the framework of Module 2 of the DARYA Project, which aims to develop both national and cross-country occupational standards.
In her remarks, the ETF representative highly praised the Institute’s recent consistent efforts, emphasizing that Uzbekistan’s broad and systemic reforms in the field of education and qualifications are being recognized on the international stage. She further noted that the ETF is ready to deepen its collaboration with the Institute, engage international experts in the implementation of reforms, and provide continued technical and methodological support.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides highlighted the importance of joint efforts in ensuring the success of the planned initiatives, creating new opportunities for improving the education and qualifications system, and achieving the goals set for 2026.
This meeting represents not only a new stage in international dialogue, but also serves as clear evidence that Uzbekistan is taking bold steps toward global reforms in the field of education and professional qualifications.
