Cooperation with International Experts on Developing the National Qualifications System Continues

Oct. 30, 2026

A meeting with the participation of UNESCO representatives and international experts Dana Stroie and Jean-Marc Castejon was held at the Institute for the Development of the National Qualifications System. The meeting was organized as part of the experts’ latest visit to the Institute.

The meeting reviewed the outcomes achieved during previous visits and discussed ongoing work on developing a credit system for qualifications, establishing occupational standards, and advancing micro-credentials and the National Register of Qualifications.

Responsible representatives of the Institute presented an overview of the work carried out by the working group in these areas. The expected outcomes of the expert visit and the tasks to be undertaken at the next stage were also identified.

As part of the visit, seminars and training sessions are planned with the participation of sectoral councils, representatives of the education sector, and a working group comprising Institute staff. These sessions will examine the key components of implementing a credit system for qualifications. In addition, a draft occupational standard will be discussed using the occupation of “Assistant Electric Locomotive Driver” as an example.
