April 10, 2026

An important meeting was held at the sectoral council on the development of professional qualifications in the field of education and science to discuss current priorities and key tasks of the sector.

During the meeting, special emphasis was placed on the need to review professions and positions related to the sectoral council.

It was noted that within this process, the current National Classification of Occupations should be analyzed to determine how effectively it covers newly emerging professions formed on the basis of modern requirements. It was also acknowledged that making effective use of advanced international experience would play an important role in its further improvement.

In addition, the participants discussed issues related to the timely and high-quality development of professional standards in accordance with the approved action plan for 2026. Particular attention was paid to strict compliance with deadlines, increasing the practical significance of the standards being developed, and preparing them in cooperation with industry specialists and employers.

The meeting also considered the development of a Qualification Handbook for employee positions in the field of education and science. It was noted that this document would make it possible to systematically define qualification requirements, functional responsibilities, and the necessary knowledge and skills for each position.

Furthermore, in order to effectively organize work in this area, it was decided that a working group consisting of relevant specialists and experts should be formed and its activities should be carried out on the basis of a clear plan.
