A professional development course organized by the Institute for the Development of the National Qualifications System for prospective experts involved in qualification assessment has been successfully completed at the Professional Skills Center in Bukhara. Held from 20 to 24 July, the training program was designed to further strengthen Uzbekistan’s National Qualifications System, develop a highly qualified and independent pool of qualification assessment experts, and ensure the quality, transparency, and credibility of qualification assessment processes. During the five-day program, participants received comprehensive theoretical and practical training on the legal and institutional foundations of the National Qualifications System, the development and implementation of occupational standards and sectoral qualifications frameworks, the design of qualification assessment tools, modern assessment methodologies, and international best practices in qualification assessment. The program also included practical case studies, assessment simulations, interactive discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and experience-sharing activities aimed at enhancing participants’ professional competencies and practical skills. Upon successful completion of the program, 18 participants were awarded certificates confirming the completion of the professional development course. These certificates authorize the graduates to serve as experts in Qualification Assessment Centers and to participate in organizing and conducting qualification assessment processes in accordance with national regulatory requirements and internationally recognized approaches. Today, the continued development of Uzbekistan’s National Qualifications System, the preparation of a competitive workforce that meets labor market demands, and the enhancement of the effectiveness of qualification assessment remain among the country's strategic priorities. Achieving these objectives requires the establishment of a professional, impartial, and highly competent body of assessment experts. In this regard, the regular professional development courses organized by the Institute in various regions of the country represent an important initiative aimed at strengthening the national qualification assessment system, ensuring the transparency and objectivity of assessment procedures, and contributing to the development of human capital. The Institute for the Development of the National Qualifications System will continue implementing professional training programs for qualification assessment experts across the regions and will further expand its efforts to develop Uzbekistan’s National Qualifications System in accordance with international standards.
