A Meeting with GIZ International Expert Andreas Hirschi Was Held at the National Institute for the Development of the National Qualifications System

A meeting was held at the National Institute for the Development of the National Qualifications System with representatives of the “Support for the Reform and Modernization of the Vocational Education System in Uzbekistan” (TexVET-II) project, implemented by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), and Dr. Andreas Hirschi, Professor at the University of Bern, Switzerland, and an international expert.

The main focus of the meeting was to explore international experience and modern methodologies for modernizing career guidance systems in general education schools and vocational education institutions, training career counsellors, and enhancing their professional qualifications.

During the meeting, participants discussed ways to further improve the career guidance system in Uzbekistan, strengthen the professional capacity of specialists working in this field, enhance continuous professional development programmes, and introduce advanced international approaches into practice.

International expert Andreas Hirschi presented proposals and recommendations on developing the career guidance system, building and strengthening the professional competencies of career counsellors, as well as developing methodological guidelines and practical recommendations based on international experience.

The participants emphasized the importance of exchanging experience, developing methodological and practical cooperation in the field of career guidance, and continuing systematic work in this area.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to continue cooperation in improving the career guidance system and developing the professional competencies of career counsellors.
