Strategic Partnership for Future Professions and Modern Skills

A meeting was held at the Institute for the Development of the National Qualifications System with representatives of the Skills and Labour Market Linkages for Key Sectors in Uzbekistan (SKILL-UP) Project.

During the meeting, the parties discussed priority areas of cooperation, ongoing initiatives, and future plans. As a result of the discussions, agreements were reached on the implementation of several key activities.

Key areas of cooperation include:

🔵 developing and improving occupational standards and assessment tools based on labour market needs;

🔵 aligning short-term training programs with occupational standards and qualification requirements;

🔵 conducting analytical studies on emerging skills and priority sectors in pilot regions.

In addition, the parties agreed to cooperate in the development of methodological guidelines, as well as in organizing training sessions, seminars, practical workshops, and study visits for experience exchange.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties signed a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at promoting the development of a flexible skills system that responds to the evolving demands of the labour market.
