Issues Related to Establishing the Operations of a Qualification Assessment Centre in the Accounting Sector Discussed

A seminar was held with the participation of representatives of the Federation of Accountants of Uzbekistan and “Accountants’ Qualification Assessment Centre” LLC, focusing on the establishment and effective operation of a qualification assessment centre in the accounting sector.

During the seminar, representatives of the Institute for the Development of the National Qualifications System provided detailed information and presentations on the functions and areas of activity of sectoral councils, the development of sectoral qualifications frameworks, the development of occupational standards, as well as the key stages involved in establishing a qualification assessment centre.

Particular attention was paid to the requirements and procedures for accrediting qualification assessment centres, enhancing the professional competencies of centre managers and assessor-experts, developing and reviewing assessment tools, as well as organising and conducting professional examinations.

Participants were also provided with methodological recommendations on the effective use of the Unified Digital Platform of the National Qualifications System in organising professional examinations, conducting assessment procedures in accordance with established requirements, and ensuring the objectivity, transparency and reliability of the assessment process.

At the conclusion of the seminar, the participants discussed further areas of cooperation aimed at developing the qualification assessment system in the accounting sector, introducing modern assessment mechanisms into practice, and ensuring the effective operation of the qualification assessment centre.
