Official Meeting Held with an International Expert at the Institute for the Development of the National Qualifications System

The Institute for the Development of the National Qualifications System hosted an official meeting with representatives of UNESCO and international expert Dana Stroie within the framework of the Skills Development Project, funded by the European Union.

The meeting marked the official launch of the expert's second working visit to Uzbekistan, dedicated to the development of the National Qualifications Register.

During the meeting, participants reviewed the achievements accomplished during the first phase of cooperation and discussed the key objectives, expected outcomes, and future priority areas of the Institute for the Development of the National Qualifications System. The parties also exchanged views on the main areas of cooperation and agreed on a joint action plan for the current working visit.

It was noted that, during Dana Stroie's working visit, which will continue until 5 August, a series of practical seminar-training sessions will be organized for sector specialists to enhance occupational and qualification standards. These activities are expected to support the further development of Uzbekistan's National Qualifications System in line with international standards, strengthen the professional capacity of specialists, and introduce advanced approaches to the establishment of the National Qualifications Register.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation, promoting the wider adoption of international best practices, and continuing joint efforts to develop a modern and competitive qualifications system that responds effectively to labour market needs.

This international partnership represents another significant step towards advancing Uzbekistan's National Qualifications System in accordance with international standards, strengthening the institutional framework for quality assurance of qualifications, and enhancing their international recognition.
